EVAN SUSSMAN Evan Sussman is a Senior Project Manager in the Construction Consulting Division of DBI. Mr. Sussman’s primary role is to manage large, complex property losses across the country, including inspections and loss evaluations for insurance carriers, independent adjustment firms and law firms. Most recently, Mr. Sussman consulted on a claim involving five Macy’s retail stores in the Houston area that were affected by Hurricane Ike; damages exceeded $100 million. Additionally, Mr. Sussman assessed the hard and soft costs caused by delay in the construction of Goldman Sachs’ NYC world headquarters. He also recently managed a team of estimators in assessing and evaluating the damage, which exceeded $5 million, caused by Hurricane Ike to a portfolio of seven office buildings in the Houston area. Prior to joining DBI, Mr. Sussman worked as a Commercial Claims Representative for St. Paul Travelers Insurance Company as well as an Independent Adjuster for Decker Associates. Mr. Sussman has also been called upon to serve as an appraiser in disputes involving the scope and cost of construction.
