TOMER SAAR Tomer Saar is Associate Vice President and Sr. Project Director of the Construction Consulting division and spearheads the Builders Risk Claim subdivision of DBI. Mr. Saar has worked in the construction industry for over 8 years and has managed DBI’s projects for the past 5 years. Currently, Mr. Saar is the lead consultant on a $30 million builder’s risk claim for a 300 unit residential complex; he is also the lead consultant for a builder’s risk claim of the first LEED certified hotel in NYC’s financial district. Mr. Saar also led DBI’s construction consulting team in assessing a $100 million claim for a 2 million SF high rise hotel and floating casino complex as well as a $100 million claim for a 227 acre Six Flags amusement park. Additionally, Mr. Saar was involved in assessing damage, $25 million in repairs, for the largest condominium complex in Southern Texas allowing the client and the developer to reach an agreement in less than six months.
Prior to concentrating in DBI’s construction consulting and builder’s risk division, Mr. Saar provided project management and oversight services to DBI’s clients. In addition to evaluating property damage of Prada’s flagship NYC store, Mr. Saar also acted as Project Manager for the renovations and construction of Prada stores across the United States, including Chicago, Manhasset, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. Before Mr. Saar joined DBI, he worked for a mid-size General Contractor based in New York specializing in commercial construction where he acted as estimator, project scheduler, purchaser, and project supervisor.
